📱1. Download the App
Download the Fajr Buddy app to start your journey

🏷️2. Register your Tag
Once installed, register your phone with your Fajr Buddy tag. The app automatically detects your phone's hardware to select the best method
📲 For NFC-Enabled Phones (Tap to Register): Simply hold the back of your phone against the tag.
Tip: The NFC antenna location varies by phone model.
It is usually located near the rear camera or the center of the back panel. Move your phone slowly over the tag until it vibrates.
📷 For Non-NFC Phones (Scan to Register): The app will open your camera. Point it clearly at the printed code on the tag to register it.
⏰3. Set your Fajr Alarm
- Tap the Fajr card on the home screen.
🔓4. Grant Permissions
- A one-time popup will appear requesting necessary access.
- ✅ Allow the requested permissions (such as "Display over other apps" or "Alarms & Reminders") to ensure the alarm works reliably.
🧪5. Test the System
We strongly recommend testing the alarm before your first night to ensure everything is working perfectly.
- Go to ⚙️ Settings (Gear Icon).
- Select "Test Alarm".
(Issue with test alarm for ios devices, please test by setting an alarm 2min later) - 🔒 Lock your phone screen immediately and wait for 10 seconds.
- The alarm will ring. Practice stopping it using the method below.
🛑6. Stop the alarm
When the alarm rings, you must leave your bed to interact with the tag.
- 📡 Tap to Stop (NFC): Unlock your phone and tap the back of it against the tag. (remember your nfc antenna spot)
- 📸 Scan to Stop (Camera): Unlock your phone, open the scanner, and point the camera at the tag. Ensure the room has some light or use the in-app flashlight button.
